Ram Trucks ran an ad during the Super Bowl using broadcaster Paul Harvey's “God Made a Farmer” speech. Unbeknownst to many, Ram was using the ad to raise money for a farming foundation and the “God Made a Farmer” ad helped them get more than $1 million. Get the best car buy you can find.

The Ram Truck was advertised by Chrysler during the Super bowl with an ad about honoring the troops. Chrysler also played an advertisement to advertise the Ram 1500 by playing the speech from broadcasting legend Paul Harvey called “God Made a Farmer.”
A new ad was wanted, evidently, though the F-150 is probably what most farmers are prepared to buy.
Chrysler pledged $400,000 to the United Services Organization and $1 million to Future Farmers of America during all of this, though most people did not know it, according to AutoBlog. The foundation is meant to help young people looking into farming.
Donation will not be made
Ram promised to donate $100,000 every time the “God Made a Farmer” advertisement was viewed, shared or emailed 1 million times until it hit the $1 million mark. It only took five days to get there.
This presentation was given at a Future Farmers of American conference in 1978, and Farms.com tried to run a similar advertisement in 2011 that was not as well received. Farms.com officially supports the advertisement, according to Forbes, and it has been really successful.
Pitcher Brandon McCarthy posted on his twitter that he was going to buy a farmer now as a joke in response to the ad. It was well received despite a fee jokes.

There was also a video produced by FunnyorDie.com that explained how American farming has a lot more to do with genetically modified crops and immigrant labor now than it used to making the advertisement not as great as it seems.
Some good regardless of goals
The USO got a contribution from the advertisement, and the “God Made a Farmer” ad did a ton of good as well. In spite of the belief that the ad is just there to get more cash for the company, at least it did just a little good with it.
Farmers just want the F-150 and other similar trucks re-badged with different names such as the GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado. Buyers may get more auto loan information to purchase a Ram truck due to the advertisement, but there is a good chance the F-150 will stay the most popular automobile in the country.
